UK Bologna Experts
The UK has 13 ‘Bologna Experts’ for the period 2011-2013 whose job it is to help inform UK higher education institutions about the Bologna Process reforms. The experts were appointed by the British Council, in cooperation with UK HE stakeholders, following approval by the European Commission. Two student Bologna Experts were also nominated.
The Bologna Experts are senior academics and administrators who have been chosen because of their in-depth knowledge in quality assurance, qualifications frameworks and recognition issues in higher education. The European Commission and the British Council provide training workshops for them. The Europe Unit also informs Bologna Experts of recent EU and Bologna initiatives through its various publications.
